Council Member Floreen, one of my biggest concerns right now is the traffic issues that the communities in Northern Montgomery County struggle with each day. M-83 needs to be completed. i270 is gridlock during the morning and evening commutes. 355 is a disaster. Public transportation is NOT the answer. We need better roads, smart lanes and improved intersections and we need M-83 as promised in the masterplan. We need answers from he county as to what they are going to do immediately and in the medium / long term to deal with these issues.

I agree with kingronster above but would add that the State and County need to do something about Rt 355 between Brink Rd and Clarksburg HS. Rt 355 is backed up during Am and PM rush hours such that it takes 15 minutes to go one mile. It's especially bad when 270 is backed up and 355 takes the overflow. It is impossible to make left hand turns Lonf 355 unless someone stops and allows you to turn. This area has been neglected and now there are 20,000 MORE people living within a mile of 355 in Clarksburg Village.
And there were no significant upgrades to 355 to accommodate the fast paced growth.
