Post Covers WSSC Stimulus Share

“As of yesterday morning, the utility that oversees the crumbling water system in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties wasn’t going to receive a dime in federal stimulus grants because the state had decided the two Washington suburbs were too wealthy….” I was shocked to hear this news. Our property values are dropping like rocks and our incomes have been affected to the point where even those of us making a fairly decent living are cutting back. You can only ask us to pitch in so much. We pay taxes too and I'll bet we made more of those taxes than other jurisdictions.
