Council to Start Work on Proposed Savings Plan Next Week

Next week we will start our work on the recommended $51 million FY16 budget savings plan that was transmitted by the County Executive on July 8. The Council is responsible for making the final decisions on the savings plan, which seeks to address anticipated revenue shortfalls and the recent "Wynne" Supreme Court decision that will annually have significant impact on the County budget.
