Council Endorses BRT for CCT

Today the full Council unanimously endorsed bus rapid transit for the Corridor Cities Transitway. We changed our recommendation from light rail because of a new study showing significantly better economic benefits if the transit system can be built sooner. BRT is less expensive and can be built more than a decade earlier than light rail. We need the CCT, and we need it now, so I’m glad to make this adjustment.
