Council to Complete Budget Next Week

With a full week of meetings, we will finalize all of our budget decisions next week. We start on Monday by considering community grants and the proposed consolidation of some Park Police and County Police functions, among other items. Tuesday we will decide the Montgomery County Public Schools budget. On Wednesday, we will take action on the fuel/energy tax rates and the proposed increase in the telephone tax. And on Thursday we will take a straw vote on the budget in its entirety (with the final formal vote on May 27).
